Instrument 05 / hours
Appetite Clock
Choose I ate now or enter an earlier local time. Steam, color, shadow, and empty space change with elapsed time; the exact duration remains in text.
The fictional demonstration is active. A chosen time stays in this browser session unless you explicitly select local persistence.
What this does not measure
This is only an elapsed-time instrument. It does not predict hunger, appetite, digestion, blood sugar, fasting effects, nutrition, or when anyone should eat. Personal times remain in the browser and are never sent anywhere.
Why this clock exists
A clinical review in the journal Neurogastroenterology and Motility describes hunger, satiation, and satiety as signals involving many gastrointestinal and neural processes around eating. Elapsed time is only one nearby fact. This clock therefore refuses to turn hours into a prediction. The cooling bowl is a material metaphor for time since a selected meal, while the exact reading reports only what the browser can know.
