Why this clock exists

On May 24, 1844, Samuel Morse sent the first official telegraph message from Washington to Baltimore as marks carried over a wire. Here, six digits become another short transmission, visible until you choose to hear or feel it. The clock asks how a moment changes when it must travel: punctuation disappears, intervals acquire meaning, and silence becomes part of the message.
